The mighty Archon is the result of a psionic merging between two Templars, a living cyclone of psychic energy that can stand on the ultra-tech battlefield among cyber-tanks and giant robots. For the “common” Archon (if any such being could be called common), its primary ability is to direct a bolt of raw destructive psionic energy, capable of decimating squads of lighter enemies, or even bringing down vehicles. Powerful Templar heroes can frequently manifest Archons with unique abilities, and many small sects and orders can form distinctive variants, like the Dark Archon below. Upon destruction (at -1xHP), or when the constituent Templars decide to decouple, their psionic essences return to the Collective, as if their Death Warp had been activated.
